Visitors to Fowey over Bank Holiday woke up to this stunning view on Monday. At first we thought we might still be dreaming (due to a fairly detailed study of the cocktail list at Sam's top floor bar the night before), but sure enough, there it was, The Black Watch in all her regal splendour and imposing elan. What a sight!

No doubt she'll be featuring on postcards of Fowey soon...who knows, perhaps one of our Cornish Hols guests at Carnethic House will pin her up on our Note with a Boat gallery.

Our Cornish holiday apartment is the perfect escape at any time of year. Even this August with the heavens opening our guests haven't been disappointed, there's always so much to do and see. And if you can't gather the energy to go out of the front door, then don't. Just take one of the doors out on to the balcony, down the steps into the garden, through the little gate under the flower arch and into the relaxing warm atmosphere of the heated pool, sauna and hot tub.
